I forgot to tell you about Sunday

Good morning all,

I do hope and trust that you are all well on this Tuesday Chooseday morning. Yes, I am very positive and cheerful this morning, must be my attitude change to get rid of all the negativity in my life. Found this great photo online and thought I would share it with you.

So, I forgot to tell you all what happened to me on Sunday night. We (my Mom and I) were up watching the Olympics, waiting for Oscar Pistorius and Arnu Fourie to run, when the commentator on the TV said that you could tweet them with comments and views on the Paralympics. I had my BB with me and decided to take them up on the offer, it was about 20 minutes before the men’s 200m T43 and T44 final. My tweet went along the lines of:

“@Paralympic: Waiting for @OscarPistoriusand Arnu Fourie to run their race! Rooting for them both! Good luck boys! Make us Proud!”

I hit send and about a minute later the commentator said, Kathleen says:

“Waiting for @OscarPistoriusand Arnu Fourie to run their race! Rooting for them both! Good luck boys! Make us Proud!”

THE COMMENTATOR READ OUT MY TWEET ON LIVE TELEVISION THAT THE WHOLE WORLD WAS WATCHING! HOW AWESOME IS THAT? 🙂

I was so chuffed about it, because who would have thought that he would read my tweet?

Anyways, so then the race happened. A pity that Oscar missed out on the gold by 0.07 seconds. But, throughout all the controversy about the longer blades and the shock, most people didn’t realise that Arnu Fourie broke the World Record in his class, the T44. He ran the 200m in 22.49 seconds which is now the new WORLD RECORD!

Who is Arno Fourie you might ask? Well, according to the site: Arnu Fourie is a South African Athlete. He is part of the 2012 Paralympic Team. He works as an Accountant in Stellenbosch. Fourie lost is left leg below-knee in a motorboat accident in 2003.

Keep an eye out for him, as he still has to run the Men’s 100m – T 44 and the Men’s 4x100m Relay – T 42/46.

Arnu Fourie
